Since 1967, Sampson Community College (SCC) has been blessed with dedicated employees who continue to create an educational atmosphere where students can truly, ‘Begin Here, Go Anywhere.’ On Monday, current faculty & staff members were recognized for milestone years of service with SCC, ranging from 5 to over 30 years on campus.

5 years: Michael Blankenship, Jolly Davila, Jim DeMay, Bonnie Fann, Nancy Gump, Stephen Locklear, Michelle Milliken, Jo Pittman, Waldyn Ramirez, Ryan Rutherford, Kim Stroud, Rick Tyree, Jennifer Williams.

10 years: Amanda Bradshaw, Blair Hairr, Durwood King

15 years: Alonza Royal, Cindy Shillady, Lisa Turlington

20 years: Sue Butler, Loreta Jones, Aleta Whaley

30+ years: Edith Rogers, Dr. Bill Starling, Angie Warner

Frankie Sutter, Executive Director of Human Resources & Board Relations, voiced, “Each milestone recognized, be it 5 years or 25 years, is a testament to the dedication of each of these employees. It should also be noted that we have 3 employees who have a combined 121 years of service, all of them providing 35+ consecutive years of service to SCC. Not only is SCC a great place for students to Begin Here, Go Anywhere, it is also a great place for employees to do the same. Employees make a difference!”

Sampson CC is immensely thankful for the dedicated faculty and staff who wholeheartedly serve the College and its students year after year.
